Drain and dry
Run an empty spin cycle a day before, then switch off the water supply, disconnect the inlet and drain hoses and let any remaining water drain from the filter. Leave the door open for a few hours to dry the drum.
Lock the drum
Front-load machines come with transit bolts that hold the drum still. If you kept them, screw them back in at the back of the machine. If not, our team packs foam or cloth around the drum to stop it from swinging. Top-load machines can be secured by placing padding between the drum and the body.
Wrap and load
- Pack hoses, the power cord and the transit-bolt spanner in a bag taped to the machine.
- Wrap the body in foam or a moving blanket and stretch film.
- Load it upright and strap it in the truck.
Frequently asked questions
What if I lost the transit bolts?
You can order them from the brand service centre, or our team will pad the drum carefully for the move. For long distances, bolts are strongly recommended.
When can I use the washing machine after shifting?
Once it is levelled, the transit bolts are removed and hoses reconnected, it can be used the same day.
